Storage revolution in the making

Along with their release of Solaris as open source, Sun has slowly been releasing most of their storage software.
At the core of this effort is the widely acclaimed ZFS. This talk will be a high level introduction to some of the other storage technologies available today or in the near future. Topics include in-kernel CIFS support, remote replication with AVS, iscsi and scsi (comstar) target support, SamFS hierarchical storage management and higly scalable filesystems such as QFS and pNFS.

OSDMads Toftum has been working more than 8 years in various ISP jobs, including building PKI from scratch, ssl, unix systems administration, oracle development/dba, perl/php/c hacking, technical project management and various other things. 2 years doing systmes management for very high profile enterprise customers on Solaris and currently working on operations issues in a startup company.
Mads is member of the Apache Software Foundation, developer at cashcow.dk and various other things.
